Keto Diet Foods That Trigger Good Gut Microbiome (That Will Help You Super Charge)

By Devanshu (Dev)

If you are unfamiliar with the term, let me give you some knowledge before diving in. Keto means “avorable” in the medical community. This diet is the opposite of starvation diets that limit most people to eating only certain foods. Ketones are produced in the pancreas when your body converts carbohydrates into glucose, using the fat that your body has stored as a last reserve. For most people, ketosis is achieved when the amount of fat stored in their bodies matches the amount of glucose they have ingested.

If you have not heard of keto diet yet, here is an overview. The ketogenic or keto diet is actually a high-fiber and high-fat, low-carbohydrate diet; during this time, dietary fiber is used as a buffer, there being a low intake of carbohydrates, and a very high intake of fats. The idea behind the diet is that your metabolic processes will become more efficient and you will be able to use your food more efficiently. The results of this shift in metabolism can be exciting, however, many people (though many of them would disagree) think that this shift will also mean that there will be a reduction in the number of diseases and disorders that can affect your health.

In addition to the benefits to your health of the keto diet, another benefit is that you are likely to find that you will feel better from the changes you have made. If you were used to eating mostly carbohydrates, sugary foods then you will likely be shocked at how much better you feel after making the switch to Yummy food with full of fat and proteins along with vegetables, seeds, and nuts. Since the bulk of the weight that you have lost is made up of these simple foods, you will notice that your energy level increases. The metabolism will also begin to cleanse and rid the body of harmful toxins.

The Keto Diet and the Gut Microbial flora within the small intestines and colon are two things that are extremely connected. The Keto diet and the Gut Microbial flora go hand in hand to promote overall digestive health. When there is a healthy population of the right bacteria in the colon, it is easier for the body to absorb nutrients. As well, if there is a lack of the correct bacteria, it is much harder for the body to absorb the right nutrients. The result is that you often need to add acidophilus or other digestive enzymes to get the job done.

Many people wonder how they can make the switch over to the keto diet. The best way to make the change is through pure olive oil or coconut oil. both oils are full of high in monounsaturated fats, which are necessary to feed the natural bacteria in the gut. This bacterium needs specific nutrients, such as monounsaturated fats in order to thrive. For this reason, adding olive oil to the diet can help the body to digest the high-fat foods like meat, cheese, etc., without causing harm. Also, olive oil can provide the body with many other health benefits, such as anti-inflammatory properties and even the ability to prevent cancer.

The Keto Diet and the Gut Microbial flora need the right nutrients to survive. In order to find them, you should consider eating more protein. As well, you may want to consider drinking more herbal tea, rather than coffee or alcohol. Green tea has certain flavonoids, which have been shown to inhibit the growth of many kinds of bacteria. Also, cranberry extract has been known to suppress the growth of the Th17bac bacteria. By making a few simple changes to your diet, you can shift your digestive system from a fast to a slow mode, where you are actually able to digest and use the food that you eat, in order to keep your weight in check.
